Air Charity Network (ACN)
Provides free air transportation within 1000 nautical miles. The patient must be mobile enough to enter and exit the aircraft. There must be financial need and the patient needs to be medically stable enough to fly in a non-pressurized plane. ACN is comprised of independent member organizations identified by specific geographical service area, including Angel Flight and others. New York Amtrak Rails to Recovery Program
NY Amtrak, along with VOH and NYSDOT offers discounted fare for passengers and their caregiver while traveling for medical services throughout New York State.
Patient AirLift Services (PALS)
Patient AirLift Services (PALS) arranges free air transportation for individuals requiring medical diagnosis, treatment or follow-up, for compassionate assistance. Based in NY and service the northeastern territory (about as far West as OH and far South as northern FL). They also have an option for commercial vouchers for further distances. Southwest Airlines Medical Transportation Grants
Southwest Airlines Medical Transportation Grant Program provides complimentary, roundtrip tickets to nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation organizations. Participating nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation nonprofit organizations determine how to distribute the tickets to patients and/or caregivers.
