Milk Frother Blends Crushed Meds
In a blog on his website (www.feedingtubeholder.com), Justin Rumley shares this good tip: After crushing his father’s medications, they would use a milk frother to blend the crushed pills with water. They bought an inexpensive frother from IKEA.
But be careful what you crush! For information on crushing medications and a link to the Institute for Safe Medication Practices’ (ISMP) “Do Not Crush” list, see “Drug Administration through a Feeding Tube,” by J.
