Book Addresses Living with Chronic Illness

Don Young, HPN Consumer, President of The Oley Foundation, Crohn’s Patient

Reading Audrey Kron’s second book “Meeting the Challenge -- Living with Chronic Illness” is like reading an owner’s manual for a car needing maintenance and repair. Audrey has combined the ‘nuts and bolts,’ how-to advice of a fellow chronic illness patient with a professional’s view of dealing with emotions, relationships and stress, and a family member’s perspective.

HomePEN consumers will appreciate the chapter on managing time, handling recurrent illness and having fun despite weakness. Whether you are just beginning or an ‘old pro’ at dealing with chronic illness, you will learn from reading this travel guide for people living with pain, uncertainty and unending challenge.

The author, Audrey Kron, is a medical psychotherapist and marriage counselor who has lived with Crohn’s disease for many years and relies on TPN. Her first book, “Ask Audrey,” is now in its fourth printing and is widely read and enjoyed by the homePEN community.
