Registration is free for consumers/families; there is a minimal fee for professionals ($100) and members of industry ($200) to help cover the cost of meals, etc. Registrants are responsible for their own hotel and transportation arrangements.

The hotel service fee of $12.95/day is waived for Oley guests. Note: to secure this rate, use the link above or mention you are with the Oley meeting when calling. Oley discounted self-parking fee is $10/day. Book early; we’ve sold out in past years. Refrigerators are available for consumers; indicate this need in the “additional request” section of the online hotel reservation form or when calling.
Medical Support—Keeping You Safe! The local hospitals will be alerted. Let your homecare company know you are traveling. If your homecare company is unable to assist you in the case of an infusion emergency during the conference (if you forget something, have a bag break, etc.), emergency infusion backup support and telephonic nursing/pharmacy support will be available courtesy of the Memphis branch of Coram CVS/specialty infusion services.

Storage is limited, so please arrange to have your supplies arrive no earlier than Thursday, June 21. There are no hotel fees for patient shipments of medical supplies.

Main Sessions, Breakout Sessions & Tube Feeding Workshop—Learning Opportunities Abound! Presentations are coordinated to boost your understanding of the therapies that sustain you or your loved one. Formal morning sessions are followed by informal afternoon breakout sessions and the interactive Tube Feeding Workshop. See the Program-At-A-Glance (next page) for a tentative list of topics to be covered. Stay tuned to www.oley.org/AnnualConference for updates on topics and speakers.
Kidz Club—New This Year! Kidz Club is designed to provide supervised entertainment for kids while parents attend educational sessions. Age-appropriate activities will be offered in the Playschool Room (infants to 8 years old), and Tween Room (9 to 14 years old). Morning and afternoon sessions will be provided. Kids must be registered online by June 14 to participate. Tweens are welcome to “hang out,” enjoy video games, and chat with their peers in the Tween Room Monday and Tuesday morning, and Tuesday afternoon. Monday afternoon, there will be a Tween breakout session, where youth will come together with a moderator to discuss issues of importance to them, centering on things connected to HPEN. Limited supervision will be provided; parental permission is required. Note that we cannot provide medical care; hook up, disconnect, or troubleshoot infusions or tube feeding; change ostomy bags; administer medications; and so on.
Ambassador Workshop/Volunteer Info Session Planned for “official” Oley volunteers, but open to anyone interested in serving Oley through outreach, social networking, etc. Learn how to share your time and talents to advance the Oley mission. Jammin’ Jammies A chaperoned activity is planned for children ages 7+ on Tuesday, June 26 in the evening! A choice of G or PG movie will be shown, and kids can create fun memories with friends in our photo booth! Parents are welcome to join in the festivities.
Walkathon Raises Funds, Awareness Annual Walkathon registration sheets are posted at www.oley.org/ 2018walkathon.pdf. T-shirts will be provided to all walkers with a suggested minimum donation of $20. Start getting pledges today! Funds raised help support all Oley programs and are tax-deductible.
Breakfast and Brainstorming—Bring Your Questions Breakfast and Brainstorming will be filled with expertise, experience, opportunities to ask questions—and breakfast! Interact with premier clinicians in the field of home nutrition support and experienced consumers… all eager to help you with information, support, and hope. At the conclusion we’ll capture photos, share on social media, and bid our farewells.
Market Research Share your experience with tube feeding and/or IV nutrition to help improve the next generation of products. Be sure your membership profile and email address on www.oley.org are up-to-date! We issue invitations based on the information you’ve provided. Travel Grants for Conference Attendees! Thanks to generous donors there are a limited number of $600 travel scholarships available for consumers or family members who cares for them (one per family). Priority will be given to applicants who will be attending the Oley annual conference for the first time, and Oley Ambassadors. Qualified conference registrants should write two paragraphs describing how they believe attending the conference will affect their life and submit them to harrinc@amc.edu or The Oley Foundation, Albany Medical Center MC-28, 99 Delaware Avenue, Delmar, NY 12054. The ideal candidate will also describe their plans to share information learned at the conference with consumers and/or clinicians back home. If there are still grants available on May 24, we will consider applications from consumers and caregivers who have attended a conference before. You can be placed on this waiting list by submitting your paragraphs as outlined above. Please indicate (in the subject line, if sent by email), that you’d like to be placed on the list. Applicants should not be receiving any other financial assistance for travel and/or lodging expenses related to attending the conference. Travel grants are limited to one per family/household.
